Autumn's fever & allergy coughing

Been quite tired these few days, my baby is unwell. Two days ago, the teacher called me at around 5:00pm, telling me that Autumn had fever. I was worried at first but, after she was given Panadol, the temperature decreased to normal in less than an hour.
Then, I realized that she was teething. This time it is the big tooth at the back on her right bottom jaw. That night i observed her temperature was normal, she had no fever until the next morning so she went to school. That late afternoon, her teacher called me again that she had fever. Oh my...i started to worry more about her. So, i brought her to the Pediatrician- Dr. Chew at Stutong area nearby our house, but he did not say anything except to monitor her for another 2 days.

God... She was having high fever that night and kept crying and crying. Poor her. She still can't express her pain, or any of her feelings at all!! All she could say was, "Mommy.. Daddy... Aiyo..."

Well, whenever your baby is not well, parents are always suffering from sleepless night.
That is how our parents brought us up as well.
I am just soooo tired, and there is another big event coming up tomorrow, so till then...
Gotto rest...

Isaac's Birthday

I was packing Autumn's bag and found a pack of goodies inside. Autumn quickly grab it and said" Isaac! Isaac!"
So, i took it and have a look at that little pack of goodies myself.

Oh.... I see. It's a birthday goodies pack from Isaac, he's turning 3 years old now.
Cute & small snacks for the children-Lolipop, Jelly & Seaweed.
Let me get a clearer look at the paper.
Wow~ So cute! It's printed with a teddy bear, birthday cake, presents and the little birthday boy.

Hehe.. found a photo that i took for the children... This is Isaac on the right & Annabelle on the left side.
I still remember the first day i sent Autumn to Pleasant Camp, it was also Isaac's first day. Both his mom and myself had a hard time trying to calm them down, or make them stay. It was a disaster!! All those crying, screaming, and vomiting!!
Vomit? Yes! Isaac cried so badly until he vomited.
Then, they had to tell him that, mommy must go to work. If not, the boss will scold, etc. Thank God! Children are so easy to be understanding. Now, he is happy going to class and never cries anymore. Happy 3rd Birthday!! Isaac!

Children learn what they live

I love little children. I always do. I used to teach little kids, drawing, Maths, English, Art, etc...
I enjoyed it a lot!
I even wanted to have my own childcare center. Errmm... I am still interested actually.
I had some consideration before having my own baby.
It is a great responsibility.
I knew long long time ago. Having a baby is not just-give birth, send to nursery or leave them with your parents, etc.
I dislike irresponsible parents like that.
Imagine your parents had spent years bringing up the children, and now they need to take care of their children's children again??! I mean grandchildren.
Why not be more considerate or responsible?
That is why i took a long consideration.
I must make sure that i educate my children well.
To be great but humble, to be loving, caring, confident, independent, friendly, helpful, kind, appreciative, etc.....
I wanted to make them as perfect as i could think of!!! I am very sure every parents out there think the same as well....
From the day we decided to have our own baby, i had plans in my mind for my baby.
How to educate her is my main concern.
I bought many books about pregnancy education, toddlers' learning, and many of Glenn Dorman's books on how to teach your baby to read and how to boost your baby's intelligent, etc.
When Autumn was 1 month old, there was 1 week that she cried a lot and wanted to be carried. i did not carry her. Instead, i kept telling her that she must learn to be obedient. She must play by herself when mommy is busy. At first she cried, but after a while she is used to it.

Whenever Autumn falls down, i never rush to carry her. I would tell her to stand up. Whenever i said:"Up!" She would just stand up by herself and never cried when she fell down. Not that i don't love her. I love her more than anything else. That is why I want her to be tough & independent.

Since Autumn was 8 months old, whenever she wanted to climb up the stairs, i never stop her.
Instead, i let her climb and just guarding her from behind. I never stopped her from learning. I let her try and learn.

I am very proud of my gal. Yes, it is very true that children learn what they live.

Toys for babies??? Books & Flash cards too!!

Well, i was tidying up Autumn's whole Play-pan full of her toys, books, etc.
Many people actually asked me why do i buy books for her so early?
Well, maybe i have read too much about "Glenn Doman's theories- Babies can read, How to teach you baby math, etc "
Indeed, she can spell the beginning few alphabets, and spell 1 to 10. She can recognize and read out many of the animals in the books too!
Here are some of her toys that i think is more educating. I don't let her play those non-beneficial toys, unless once in a while when i am busy.

Autumn's Moo-Moo xylophone since 3 months old, she hardly play with it now..

This one reads out all the alphabets and numbers whenever you press the button.

This little giraffe has music when she puts the boxes though the mouth of the girraffe.

This box of shapes is good in training the child's observation, fingers and eyes.

Music, music & music...

You can either stake it up, or just put the smaller ones into the bigger ones.

Now, this is what she does every day when she gets back to our room.
Take out all the flash cards and scatters all over.

She will also take out her books and flip through the pages.

Autumn's writing board...
Now and then, whenever i see any good books that suit her, i will just buy for her...

She is my Precious, my Pride

Well... been sick since the other day...
Haven't got much time to update my blog, even though i have so much to share almost every day. But, when i was sitting in front of the monitor, trying to type; my eyes just could not be controlled, that's the effect of the flu medicine and antibiotic making me drowsy.
Today, browsing through my files and i saw this soft copy of the flyer with Autumn as the model in it last year...
Hope you guys like this:

LOL.... I love this one..
These are some of the pictures taken for selection, here are some of the photos:

Concentrating and listening to our conversation...

Awww... sour~

MHmmm... now this one tastes better~

hahahahah.....

She is so used to the camera, photo-shooting, etc. All thanks to her mommy with photo-shooting-craze!!! Hahaha....From day 1 she was born, i took her photo every day!!!
That is why.... Yea, it's true...
Errmmm, i bet i am not the only mommy doing this, many parents out there also take lots and lots of pictures for their babies, especially the first born!!!
Babies' faces change every day from birth until i think maybe 18 years old? hehe...
Will show more of the pictures i took some day, coz there are just too many to select...

Autumn is writing

It's another Sunday again. I caught a cold on Friday night and I am having very bad flu. My headache was so terrible that i slept longer this morning.
Autumn was awake since 7am or 8am. So the whole morning she was playing around by herself, reading her books and writing around. There were a few times when she tried to wake me up, but i could not attend to her.
So..... this was the disaster....

She is enjoying her writing so much that she gave herself a "tatoo", wow!
Well, i did not scold her, instead i was laughing out loudly!! She was shocked and astonished and she laughed as well. So i told her not to write on herself, but must write on a correct piece of paper or like this..

LOL.... Should i be proud of her or the opposite way?

Autumn enjoys going to school

Hehe... it's been 2 months plus since i transferred Autumn to this new place>> Tadika Jubli ( or known as Pleasant Camp-Kindermusic).

This is her first day, she appreciated the teacher's feeding and kept "Uhmm! Yum~ Yum~"

In the beginning, she would cry terribly every morning i sent her to school, which made me felt very reluctant to leave her. However, the situation did not last very long. Now, every morning after i dropped her, she would wave and said "Bye! Bye!" unless she is still sleeping when the teacher carries her.

This is play time, all the children below 3 years old are playing outside and Autumn loves it too!

Cutie group photos of all the little ones, they could not really sit still and they were excited and kept waving at me.
Autumn is starting to recognize her friends' by calling their names one after another, like "Cat-Cat, I-saac, Ann-Bell, Aldrich, etc"

I am also very glad and proud of what she has learned in school. Not only that she is learning music, alphabets, numbers, etc. She has learned a lot on her inter-personal skills, like how to greet people, make new friends, say "Hi!", etc.
She is very friendly and whenever i introduced my friends to her, she would say "Hi!", or call them as "Uncle" or "Antie", etc. She could never missed out her popular act, "High Five!"

Healthy Meal-Sweet potaoes + Broccli + chicken

It's Sunday, Autumn and i are spending the whole day together. It is also the one and only chance a week that i can prepare lunch and dinner for her.
In school, they always feed her with porridge. So, i basically don't like cooking any rice for her during weekends.
I would try my best to put everything as nutritious as possible for her.
Let me share with you guys what did i cook for her.
The ingredients are very simple as follows:

Chicken Breast (or any chicken parts will do), but breast meat is definitely easier for babies food.

Broccoli, a very good source of high Vitamin C, Vitamin K & A as well as dietary fibre it also contains multiple nutrients with potent anti-cancerproperties.

Sweet potatoes, is also very high in Vitamin Aand C, fibre, protein and Sodium. They are more nutritious if cooked in their skin, but in order to avoid Autumn spitting out the sweet potatoes, I peeled off the skin.

Both the broccoli and sweet potatoes are being chopped into very tiny pieces so that it will take shorter cooking time (the benefits of broccoli are greatly reduced if the vegetable is boiled more than ten minutes).

Minced chicken lying on the chopping board.

Autumn waiting impatiently for her food.

Pour in the sweet potatoes and broccoli slices when the water is boiling.

Stir it.

When the bocolli and sweet potatoes are soft, add in the minced chicken and stir again. When it is boiling again, switch of the cooker, and cover up the pot. So it will be softer and easier for consumption.

Ready for consumption!!

Hmmmm.... "Yummy! Good! Nice!" said Autumn after i fed her the first sip.
It was easy to prepare but very healthy recipe for babies, especially in solving constipation problem.

My Precious-Autumn

Since this in my very first entry for Baby & Mommy, i will start of with a simple introduction for my precious-Autumn...
February 2008- We were ready, and were waiting for the arrival of our precious baby. I had a feeling. I tested. and truly i was conceived. I had complications, lower part of my stomach was always aching. I was working and doctor gave me 1 week's sick leave.
I love my baby and i did not want to loose her, so i quit my favourite job- Marketing Executive of KFC. So, i could rest more and really take good care of myself. I slept a lot, rested a lot, had proper and nutritious meals.
My baby Autumn finally arrived on 19th November 2008, at 4.50pm, at KPJ Kuching Specialist, Stutong. It was a succesful c-section by Dr. Philip Kho.

I could remember clearly how joyful i was, that very moment i saw her when the nurse pushed her to my room. My precious little Autumn, mommy had finally brought you to this world, i would love you whole-heartedly and give you the best that i could afford.. She is, whom i lived for today...

She is now 15 months old, able to say out all the simple body parts:
"mouth, eyes, nose, teeth, ears, hair hands, legs"
She stuck out her tongue whenever i said:"Tongue!"
Other than that, she had started to pronounce and greet all our family members right after her birthday!! Uncle, Antie, Gu-gu (it means daddy's sister), Jiu-Jiu (mommy's brother), yi-yi (mommy's sister), Shuk-shuk (daddy's brother), Gong-gong (grandfather), ye-ye (also grandfather), po-po (grandmother), Kakak (mommy or daddy's bumiputera friends), teacher, etc...
I shall have a special post regarding all this greetings and introducing people to your baby...

Try it and you will be amazed how fast they can learn!!
